Nancy Meyers Inspired Primary

 

While watching Father of the Bride with my daughter recently, I realized that like many people Nancy Meyers's style is what I love.  Her style is elegant, cozy, and most of all timeless.  Beautiful yet loved on, lived in and welcoming.  Her rooms feel like a collection of travels and adventures that make up a family's memories.  Nothing is ever matchy matchy and nothing ever looks "brand new".  All of this adds to the warmth and heart felt in these rooms.

One of my favorite movies of hers is It's Complicated.  If you haven't seen it - highly recommend!  This is the primary and in it you can see that while decorated beautifully it isn't right off a showroom floor.  It feels collected.  Somewhere at the end of the day you can cozy up with a good book or just fall into bed and get a good night's sleep.  Let's see what we can do to recreate this beautiful primary!
